About Meg

Meg Newhouse, Ph.D., author of Legacies of the Heart: Living a Life That Matters (2016) and Life Planning for the Third Age: A Design and Resource Guide and Toolkit (2005), is a nationally known pioneer in Third-Age LifeCrafting and a seasoned and gifted group facilitator, teacher, coach, and curriculum/program designer.
In both her professional and personal life, Meg Newhouse has sought to call out “passion and purpose” in her students, coaching clients, and even friends/colleagues. In 2003 she founded The Life Planning Network a national professional association serving an inspired group of professionals from diverse fields, who are committed to helping people navigate the second half of life with intention and a holistic perspective. She co-led LPN for five years, led organizing of the first LPN national conference, served on the national LPN Board until 2017, chaired or co-chair committees, and helped plan six national Positive Aging Conferences. Her professional interests have evolved to focus on the potential of “conscious elderhood” and the value of living and acting from a legacy perspective. Meg is a founding member of the Conscious Elders Network.
